Holistic Therapy is a 'whole body' approach to health, working on
physical, mental and
emotional levels. In the process of re-balancing, the body is
stimulated to release toxins and this release can cause temporary feelings
of being 'worse' rather than 'better'. A physical or emotional reaction may
sometimes be experienced, such as Flu-like symptoms, tiredness and increased
urination. This is known as a 'healing crisis' and should soon pass, to
leave feelings of relaxation and well-being. This process can be aided by:
* Drinking plenty of water/herbal teas to flush out body systems
* Avoid stimulants/smoking/alcohol
* Try to avoid a heavy meal/spicy food
* Enjoy rest and relaxation as much as possible after treatment
To recieve
maximum benefit following the use of any Essential oils it is also advisable
to:
* Avoid bath or shower for 8 hours to allow full absorbtion of essential
oils by the body
* Avoid direct exposure to strong sunlight following the use of any
phototoxic, or sunsensitive oils
Following the use of Hopi Candles, it is especially important to drink
plenty of water.Some initial discomfort/itchiness in the ears may be
experienced, but this will soon pass.
Many people experience non of these
symptoms and feel refreshed, re-balanced and relaxed.
